Ovarian Rejuvenation PRP
Ovarian rejuvenation is a novel therapy that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections to restore fertility and increase natural hormonal synthesis in certain women who are unable to conceive or experiencing signs of hormonal deficit. The platelet-rich plasma (PRP) approach is an autologous invasive procedure in which platelets high in growth factors are separated from a female patient’s blood plasma and injected transvaginally into the ovaries following centrifugation in the lab, with the goal of ovarian rejuvenation. To increase egg quality and/or ovarian activity, PRP is usually given to women with premature ovarian failure or advanced reproductive age.
