SURROGACY
FERTILITY TREATMENTS

Surrogacy

In some cases, a woman may be unable to carry a pregnancy for medical reasons. There are a variety of causes for this, including the absence of a uterus (due to a prior hysterectomy or Rokitansky syndrome), severe endometrial adhesions, numerous fibroid uterus, and serious medical issues (i.e., aortic stenosis, severe renal disease, etc.). As an alternative to fertility therapy, she may have another woman carry the pregnancy for the intended parents and deliver their baby to help them maintain a biological relationship with their child. Following a court order, through an application, this procedure is permitted in Greece. Our country is an ideal and attractive place for surrogacy because the baby is born in the name of the intended parents under present regulations. Our law specialists can provide you with more extensive information regarding this treatment’s legal and medical aspects.
