Hysterosalpingo Contrast Sonography (HyCoSy test)
Before initiating any sort of assisted reproductive treatment, it is critical to ensure that the uterus’ structural integrity is normal and free of abnormalities such as polyps, fibroids, or diaphragms. These abnormalities are difficult to identify with a standard ultrasound scan. We can analyse the structure of the endometrial cavity in detail using the HyCoSy technology instead of a hysteroscopy. A special catheter injects saline or contrast media into the endometrial cavity during this non-invasive treatment. We may assess any abnormalities in the endometrial cavity using a transvaginal ultrasound probe. The patency of the fallopian tubes may be checked using the same approach, obviating the need for a hysterosalpingogram.
