Sperm Donation

The final decision is yours!

Sperm Donation

Whether you need donor sperm owing to substantial male factor infertility problems or you’re a woman without a male partner, we’ll walk you through the whole process, from selecting the best treatment option to finding a suitable donor and obtaining donor sperm. You should keep in mind that the Greek legislation (Law 3305, dated 27/01/2005 and 4958, dated 21/07/2022) refers to assisted reproduction and all fertility treatments has recently changed either for sperm donation. From now on sperm donation treatments can be eponymous (by choice of the donor and the recipient). As a result, your sperm donation treatment can start straight away once a suitable donor is found. However, in case sperm donor chooses to be anonymous, we ensure you that we work with the most respected international and Greek sperm banks and we are confident that the highest criteria are reached in terms of donor safety and selection. Once you’ve decided on a donor, the sperm should arrive in a week, and your treatment may begin.

Non-contact sperm donors are divided into two categories:

  • Basic Profile and
  • Extended Profile

By law, both the donor types are anonymous, and the only difference is the quantity of information obtained, as all donors undergo the same baseline examinations and investigations. They have pre-ordered and stored a number of essential profile sperm donors at our collaborative clinics. Suppose you want to choose a donor with an extended profile, which provides you with additional information about the donor while protecting privacy. In that case, you’ll have to place your order straight to the sperm banks. The ultimate price of such a donor semen sample is more than that of a basic profile donor, and it also includes the cost of shipping the sample to our collaborative IVF unit from the sperm bank. Everyone who uses donor sperm should attend a counselling session. An honest conversation about the treatment’s effects will help you get answers to your questions and address any worries or issues you may have. Always keep in mind that the final decision is yours to make.
